NOTE: These instructions are for OS X 10.4 only. At this time the USB networking is not supported under MAC OSX 10.6. If you are running 10.6, we recommend connecting your BUG directly to your LAN via wifi or a USB ethernet dongle.

  1. Close all open applications.
  2. Open System Preferences.

  4. Select Network.

  6. Turn BUG on by sliding the On/Off switch to the left. The switch will slide back and BUG will boot up. You will see the base buttons and LCD light up.
  7. Plug in your BUG via the USB cable.
  8. Wait until you see a notification that a new port has been detected. This could take up to 5 minutes. In the event this dialog box does not appear automatically, close the Network window and reopen System Preferences > Network.

  10. Select OK.
  11. In the Show dropdown menu, select Network Port Configurations.
  12. Click on the configuration for your BUG, and select 'Rename'.
