Special Instructions

It's important that you keep your Kernel and Rootfs in synch.

• RedBoot BUG upgrade - Any BUG shipped prior to May 15th, 2009
  • Upgrading your BUG Kernel - This step is required since Redboot loads the kernal from flash memory.
  • Update your BUG memory card
• Uboot BUG upgrade - Any BUG shipped on or after May 15th, 2009
  • Update your BUG memory card - Uboot loads the kernel from the root file system.

• Boot Loader update
  • Redboot to Uboot upgrade: http://bugcommunity.com/wiki/index.php/U-boot
    • Please pay close attention to the Overview and Prerequisites sections
