Don't want to upgrade but still want BUGdash? (We really recommend upgrading!)

Getting Started with BUGdash

  • To view your BUGdash page, enter your BUG's_IP_address/admin into your browser's address bar:
    • http: //BUG_IP_ADDRESS/admin
    • An example of the BUGdash address is in the top circle on the BUGdash diagram.
  • If you are connected, the online buttons will be green as exemplified in the bottom red circle in the BUGdash diagram.
  • If you are not connected the buttons will be yellow or red.
  • To connect click the circle that says "Offline" and it will check for an Internet connection
  • Don't know how to get your BUG's IP address? Look at the Start Page.
  • By clicking on the More tab, you can view your BUGdash history.
  • Your history will expand in a list:

  • Overview
    • The Overview comes up as the default screen when BUGdash is accessed.
    • It displays an overview of your BUG including software version, kernel version, disk usage, BUGapps installed, IP addresses, and a list of processes.
    • The Overview is shown in the BUGdash diagram to the right.
  • Hardware
    • BUGmodules
      • Displays a list of BUGmodules plugged in
      • Wish list: provide a list of services and ways to view data if applicable
    • Reboot
      • Reboots BUG. Detects the connection once it comes back up.
  • Software
    • BUG apps
      • View a list of installed apps and download apps from BUGnet
      • Installed on your BUG: view installed apps, uninstall, and start or stop apps
      • Recommended apps: display apps that are tagged with "featured" in BUGnet; provides us with a way to recommend apps to users
      • Browse apps: provides a simple UI for search and filter by BUGmodules plugged in

  • Known issues: there's no refresh link for displaying results based on current module configuration; program description is displayed in Textile markup due to limited String library in PhoneME.

      • Install from a remote server
        • Single ipkg name
        • Multiple ipkg names separated by a space
